Day 01 : Arrival in Delhi:
On the first day of Sanchi Buddhist tour with Ajanta Ellora you will arrive at Delhi Airport. Our representative welcoming you in an Indian style will escort you to the hotel. On reaching the hotel, take the room and rest for a while. Today you will visit the Old Delhi which houses the red sandstone architecture Red Fort and Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in Asia. At last pay tribute to the Father of Nation at Gandhi Memorial.
Day 02 : Delhi - Bhopal (By train):
After breakfast, you will go on a half-day sightseeing tour in New Delhi. Explore the India Gate, Laxmi Narayan temple, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb and National Gallery of Modern Art.
After lunch, check out the hotel and then drive to the airport to catch your flight to Bhopal, the capital city of Indian state Madhya Pradesh. On arrival in Bhopal meet our representative and proceed to the hotel. Check in at the hotel and overnight stay in Bhopal.
Day 03 : Bhopal - Sanchi - Bhopal (Overnight train to Jalgaon):
Have breakfast at the hotel. Then our representative will take you to Sanchi. India Buddhist Tour covers Sanchi as a revered destination of Buddhism. Though Sanchi is related to Emperor Ashoka, the devout Buddhist yet it is believed that Buddha visited Sanchi during his lifetime. On reaching Sanchi explore the Great Stupa of Sanchi constructed by Ashoka. The Stupa is 36.5 m in diameter and 16.4 m high with a hemispherical dome.
It is located on a hill. The ornamental gateways of the Stupa are adorned with life story of Buddha. Also explore the museum which houses the archeological remnants. The Ashoka pillar is located on the south entrance of the Stupa. The crown is preserved in the museum and the National Emblem of India has been adopted from the four lions of the pillar.
Return back to Bhopal Hotel and take rest till evening. Then transfer to the railway station where you board your overnight train to Jalgaon.
Day 04 : Jalgaon (Ajanta Caves Sightseeing):
In the early morning you will reach Jalgaon. Our representative will receive you and accommodate you at a hotel. Freshen up. After heavy breakfast, drive to Ajanta Caves which are located at a distance of 55 kms from Jalgaon.
Ajanta Caves are excavated out of hill and the caves of Ajanta date back to the 2nd century BC. The caves of Ajanta are masterpieces of Buddhist art of work and universal pictorial art. Explore the shrines and monasteries of Ajanta. Art lovers from all over the world tour Ajanta caves.
Return back to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 05 : Jalgaon - Aurangabad (153 kms) (Ellora Caves sightseeing):
After breakfast, you will set out your journey to Aurangabad. After about three hours driving you will reach Aurangabad. Then check in at the hotel. Our representative will take you to Ellora Caves located 30 kms away from Aurangabad city. The Caves of Ellora are specimen of Indian rock cut architecture, the total 34 caves of Ellora comprise of rock cut architecture of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jain. The temples and monasteries were built from 5th to 10 century. The Buddhist caves are mainly monasteries.
Return back to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 06 : Aurangabad - Mumbai (By flight):
On the last day of Buddhist tour to Ajanta and Ellora, take the flight to Mumbai city. On arrival take the hotel. Afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour in Mumbai. You will visit the Gateway of India, Juhu Beach and Prince of Wales Museum. In the evening, go on a shopping spree. After a delicious dinner, stay overnight.
Day 07 : Mumbai - Departure:
On the last day of Buddhist India tours our representative will timely transfer you to the airport.
