The roots of Buddhism are found in Nepal, the youngest republic of the world located at the foothills of Himalayas. The devout Buddhist devotees want to tour Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha once in a lifetime. This India Nepal Buddhist tour covers the major destinations of Buddhism - Lumbini, Kushinagar, Vaishali, Bodhgaya.

Day 01 : Arrival in Delhi: Arrive in Delhi. Meet our representative at the airport and drive to the hotel. If you arrive in the morning you have some time to explore some monuments of Delhi. Today you can tour Red Fort and Jama Masjid. On the first day of India Nepal Buddhist Tour we would like to treat a memorable dinner in Delhi. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi - Kathmandu (By flight) : After breakfast, you tour the India Gate, Gandhi Memorial, Laxmi Narayan temple, Humayun’s tomb. Then our representative will transfer you to the Delhi International Airport where you board your next flight to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Upon arrival in Kathmandu you will be picked up by our representative and transferred to the hotel for overnight stay.
Kathmandu, the beautiful capital of Nepal is located on the Kathmandu valley. It is the major administrative and commercial hub of Nepal. Kathmandu is a travel destination for its temple heritage. Moreover, it is also a Buddhist destination as it houses some huge Buddhist Stupas.

Day 03 : Kathmandu: Have breakfast at the hotel. Then you set out a full day sightseeing tour of the city. You tour the palace complex Durbar Square, the royal Palace Museum, Patan's Durbar Square, etc. You can do some shopping also. In the evening time you will visit the biggest Hindu temple of Lord Shiva, Pashupatinath. It is located on the bank of Bagmati River.
After dinner, stay overnight.

Day 04 : Kathmandu: Kathmandu is a Buddhist destination in Nepal. Today you will visit the Buddhist attractions of Kathmandu. Visit the Boudhnath Stupa, the largest Stupa of Nepal which towers 36 meters. The eyes of Lord Buddha are painted on each side of the Stupa. The gateway to the Stupa is colorfully decorated. Then tour the Second Buddhist shrine Swayambhunath located at the hill top. The Stupa complex houses six Stupas of Buddha.
Also tour the Chabahil - Stupa located on the west of Boudhnath Stupa and Gorakhnath Cave and Ashura Cave which house some Buddhist temples.
After dinner, stay overnight.

Day 05 : Kathmandu - Lumbini (306 kms): On the 5th day of Nepal Buddhist tour with India you will be driven to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. On arrival check in at the hotel.
Lumbini is the one of the most revered places in Buddhism as Lord Buddha was born at Lumbini as Gautam Buddha in a royal family. Lumbini houses the Maya Devi Temple, the pond, and the Ashoka Pillar. The other attractions are the Stupa, and Buddhist temples founded later by the Buddhist countries.
Today in the afternoon, you will tour all the sites of Lumbini. After dinner, stay overnight.

Day 06 : Lumbini - Kushinagar (161 kms): In the early morning you will tour Kapilvastu where Buddha spent the early years of his life. Tour the Eastern Stupa Complex, the Royal Palace and other attractions.
Drive to Kushinagar. On arrival check in at the hotel. Then you tour the site of mahaparinirvana where Buddha died at the age of 81. Kushinagar is a revered pilgrimage site as it is the symbol for complete nirvana of Buddha. Buddha spent the last days of his life preaching sermon to his disciples at Kushinagar.

Day 07 : Kushinagar - Vaishali - Bodhgaya: After breakfast, check out the hotel. Then our representative will take you to Bodhgaya. Enroute you will tour Vaishali, the pilgrimage site where Buddha preached his last sermon before proceeding to Kushinagar. Buddhist Pilgrimage tour covers this site also it is closely related with Buddhism.
Explore the Ashoka Pillar, the brick Stupa, Vaishali Museum and other sites. Then continue drive to Bodhgaya and on arrival take the hotel. Stay overnight.

Day 08 & Day 09 : Bodhgaya (Rajgir and Nalanda Tour also): Buddhist Tours India Itinerary covers Bodhgaya as the most important Buddhist pilgrimage site in India as it is the site where Buddha meditated and attained enlightenment. The discovery of four noble truths and eightfold path are the basic principles of Buddhism which are discovery of Buddha’s spiritual quest under the Bodhi tree.

Day 10 : Bodhgaya - Gaya - Delhi: On the last day of India Nepal Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour, drive to Gaya to catch your flight to Delhi and t hen onward flight.
